The documentation team of “Syria Revolutionaries Gathering” has documented the martyrdom of 13,177 Syrian women since the beginning of the revolution in March 2011 until the end of 2017, 124 of them were detainees and abductees died under torture by several parties.
Assad forces and his supporting militias have killed the majority of the women mentioned in the report. Syria Revolutionaries Gathering has documented about 10954 martyrs of women killed by Assad forces and his supporting militias. The Russian ally of Assad also launched aerial attacks on civilians, killing 815 women since the Russian intervention began in late 2015.
At the time when 595 detained women died by unknown hands, the documentation team was unable to identify them in light of the difficulties encountered in the documentation processes.
The documentation team has documented 348 martyrs of women, who were killed by The Islamic State Organization (ISIS), while the air strikes of the International Coalition killed about 328 women.
A total of 139 women were killed by several parties. The Free Army and the extremist factions have caused martyring 71 women, while Kurdish militias targeted a number of areas belonging to these factions, killing 36 women.
In addition, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), -Jabhat Al Nasra previously – committed several violations against women in their areas of control, including bombing, arresting and killing 25 women. While the Turkish army shot 6 women on the Syrian-Turkish border, when they were attempting to escape with their families. One woman also killed by clashes between the Free Army and Assad’s forces.
Among the violations suffered by women who were arrested and tortured by several parties. The Assad regime was responsible for the largest percentage of it. About 86 women were victims in Assad’s prisons after they were arrested, where they were subjected to torture and some were executed. While 29 women killed by the Islamic State (ISIS) after being Kidnapped and imprisoned.
Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) also executed 4 women after their arrest, while 4 women were killed by unidentified actors.

151 martyrs in 2011, 2550 martyrs in 2012, 3322 martyrs in 2013, 1972 martyrs in 2014, 1717 martyrs in 2015, 1854 martyrs in 2016, 1609 martyrs in 2017 year.
