Infant, Aisha Mekdam Ramadan, died Tuesday, from severe cold, in Al-Hol Camp in Al-Hasakah countryside.
According to local sources, the infant died in Al-Hol Camp for displaced peopleو due to severe cold, as she was found frozen in the morning.
The sources said that the infant fled with her family Al-Muhasan , east of Deir Ez-Zor, to Al-Hol camp in Al-Hasakah countryside.
It is worth mentioning that residents of the camps in northern Syria suffer from bitter cold, as they live in tents that do not resist climate change.
Moreover, the United Nations warns of the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Syria during winter, while UNICEF says that “Syria is now one of the most dangerous areas in the world for children”.
