“My family and I moved towards the Syrian-Turkish borders, to find safety and peace. We were more than hundreds on the road, riding cars filled with luggage, children and women, towards the unknown and the opportunities of life, a scene like Doomsday.” Al-Hamoud added.
While “Om Muhammad”, displaced from the northern countryside of Hama, said: “we settled in the open under the olive trees, because camps can no longer accommodate people, and it is to expensive to rent a house in the border area, it may reach $150 and more. There are thousands of families like us who were displaced during the recent bombardment campaign.”
